Tubular Impact Tester

Tubular Impact Tester can be used in accordance with BS-6496 & ASTM D2794 Standards for testing the resistance of applied paints to Impact (to test the flexibility of Paints.)
Tubular Impact Tester is of latest design. User may modify the instrument to suit their requirements, by adding or removing different capacity weights. Impact tester is available in standard tube length of 25” and 40” scale (62.5cm and 102cm scale marked) and with weights of 2 lb and 4 lb with tester (2 lb with 25” and 4 lb with 40” tube length). Additional weights of 2 lb, 4 lb, 6lb, 8 lb or 1 kg, 2 Kg, 3 Kg & 4 Kg are available on request. 40” tube length tester is supplied with Allen cap screws to fix the tube on to the base. The weights are to be loaded from the bottom by loosening the Allen screws and moving the tube. Impact is calculated in inch/lb force. For example, 2 lb impactor dropped from a height of 40”, gives 80 inch/lb force.

(kg x cm = kg/cm)
After Impact, panel surface examined for signs of cracking or flaking, results may be expressed in metric scale also.
2 lb Weight = 908 gms approx.
4 lb Weight = 1816 gms approx.
6 lb Weight = 2724 gms approx.
Scale is in centimeters. 2.5cm = one inch.
Right side scale is marked every 1 inch and left side scale marked every 5 centimeter division.
